The Beer Girl In Yangon | Directed by Sein Lyan Tun
In Yangon, Myanmar, 17-year-old Lily has an impossible dream: to sing in public the last song written by her father, a political prisoner arrested for writing lyrics against the current military regime. But to survive, Lily has to take a job as a waitress in a nightclub, where prostitutes mingle with the military and dalans, the feared and feared informers of power. As Lily begins a love affair with Moon, a young girl her own age, a mysterious man draws closer to her.
