While her father has just been publicly accused of bribery, Mélanie goes partying on a week-end with some friends, in the luxurious house of her parents. A moment, out of time and away from reality. A race to excess, where nothing is prohibited.
About Duván Duque:
Born in 1981 in Bogotá, Duván Duque studied film direction in the Escuela Profesional de Nuevas Tecnologías (CICE) in Madrid, before graduating in film studies and human sciences at the University of Pompeu Fabra of Barcelona (during an exchange program with London’s King’s College and the University of Pennsylvania).
In 2016, he directed the short documentary TUMACO, selected in more than ten Colombian and international festival (Bogoshorts, FilmouFlage and Santa Fé of Antioquia). The film received the Short Film National Prize of Medellín.
Later, he directed PAILA, his first fiction short-film, which is currently being presented in festivals, after winning the prizes for Best Scenario and Best Actor during its premiere at Bogoshorts Short Film Festival.
Duván Duque is currently working on his second short film, Marshmallows, and his first feature film El Ultimo Dia.
