About Jow Zhi Wei:
Jow Zhi Wei was born in Singapore, and graduated from The Puttnam School of Film, Lasalle College of the Arts, before participating in the Golden Horse Film Academy in Taiwan. He then entered Le Fresnoy, National Studio for Contemporary Arts in France.
He has made three short films so far.
Outing (2009), was selected for the San Sebastian International Film Festival, while Waiting (2010) had its premiere at the Busan International Film Festival.
Waiting also won 'Best Script' and garnered 'Special Mention' for its direction and acting at the Singapore Short Film Awards.
After The Winter (2013) premiered at the Cannes Film Festival - Cinéfondation Selection, and was selected for festivals, Huesca and Montreal, among others. It also won 'Best Asian short film' at the Salamindanaw International Film Festival.
In 2014, Jow worked as a film programmer for the Singapore International Film Festival and was awarded the Young Artist Award by the National Arts Council of Singapore.
