As the final of the volleyball tournament approaches, Sofia learns that she is pregnant. She doesn't want to be a mother but in Brazil, abortion is a crime. She asks her father João for help. Supporting her is not easy, and with the whole village against them, the consequences are devastating.
About Lillah Halla:
Lillah Halla (Vargem Grande do Sul, Brazil, 1981) has completed the course of Direction and a post-graduation in Screenwriting at the International School of Cinema and TV of San Antonio de los Baños - Cuba (2010-2014). She has also participated in the Emerging Leaders of America Program (ELAP), a research program in narrative and experimental cinematographic language at the Department of Fine Arts at Concordia University in Montreal (2014). Her short films have circulated national and international film festivals, such as Locarno, Biarritz, Films du Monde, Havana, Janela do Recife, Festival
Latinoamericano de São Paulo, Semana dos Realizadores, among others.
Lillah works as a director and screenwriter, living between Berlin and São Paulo. In addition to her copywriting projects, Lillah collaborates on projects with other women directors.
