Nobody's son | Directed by Latifa Saïd
Nora is raising her teenage son Réda alone in Marseille. She has always told him that his father is dead, but as Réda grows older, he asks more and more questions about him. Faced with a family emergency, she is forced to go to Algeria with her son. After fifteen years away from her homeland, Nora must face up to her past to find peace, but this will put her relationship with Réda to the test.
After winning 1st prize for screenplay in the SIRAR Competition at the Aubagne International Film Festival, Latifa Saïd directed Jours Intranquilles. Produced by GREC in 2016, the film was selected for some twenty festivals and won several awards. She then directed Terrain Vague, shot in 35mm, selected in over 90 festivals, 40 countries and awarded some twenty prizes. In 2018, she completed Tahiti, her first documentary, and in 2019, directed her third short film, La Chambre, which won numerous awards. In 2021, she will direct Toutes les Nuits, produced by Filmo2.
Latifa Saïd is currently developing her first feature-length fiction film Nobody's son.
